After a whirlwind week filled with thousands of people, VIPs from Defence and industry, and many school group tours, Avalon Airshow 2019 has come to an end.
This was our first public showcase of our micro turbine engine technology. The reception we received from everyone who stopped by was overwhelming positive. We’re excited to take this technology to the next stage, ushering in not only a fifth generation Defence Force but also a new generation in portable, clean energy solutions. We’ve been proud to represent South Australia on such an international platform.
Being located in the Astro-STEM tent meant we were at the forefront of seeing children, and even adults, shocked and awed by where STEM can take them. Our 3D printed STEM micro turbine engines was a resounding success, showcasing everything that STEM makes possible. All the (very) early mornings and hard work pays off when you see the expression on a child’s face when we tell them that they’ve just built themselves a jet engine. Thanks to everyone who came out despite the hot weather and made Avalon such a success.
We’ve made so much progress as a company, connecting with Defence, industry and academics. We look forward to working with plenty of new projects and partnerships, all made possible because of this opportunity.
It’s been an absolute pleasure working with the Royal Australian Air Force inside the Astro-STEM tent. Massive thanks to the unconditional support shown by Plan Jericho and the Air Warfare Centre. It’s been an honour to work alongside them, and the event would not have been such a success without their hard work.
Special thanks as well to Air4 for hosting us, and always making us feel welcome.
We looking forward to seeing you again at future Avalon Airshows!
